Your Daily Motivation YOU WIN WHEN YOU AREN'T AFRAID TO LOSE

YOU WIN WHEN YOU AREN'T AFRAID TO LOSE

The difference between great and average is how often you
take risks.

Accept risk as a normal part of living. View risk as a part of
the process of exploring your world. Make note of the lessons
you learn with each chance you take and move on.

Forget about the consequences of taking chances. Risk opens
you to only a temporary change in direction that can set you
straight for your next success.

If you're brave enough to risk, to temporarily live outside of
your comfort zone, for a short period of time, you're big
enough to win.

Today’s Motivation FIND VALUE IN EVERYTHING

FIND VALUE IN EVERYTHING

Create a better mousetrap and the world will beat a
path to your door. Shave a couple of minutes off a
lengthy process saving millions in payroll and the
world will beat a path to your door. Find the hidden
value in just about anything and… well you get the
point.

There is value everywhere. It is what another will
use their hard cold cash to obtain because they
see worth in it. It will make something in their life
easier, smarter, happier, less expensive, last longer,
go quicker, more attractive, etc., etc., and etc! Some-
thing of value will affect what another needs, wants
or doesn’t want. Perhaps it is information on how
not to fail at some thing that may do the trick.

Where do you find things of value? Start with your-
self. Look to the skills and abilities and knowledge
you already possess.

Make a list of all the things you do well or know
about. Now, look at your list and ask yourself: "Who
could benefit from the skills and the knowledge that
I possess?" Open your mind and consider the possi-
bilities. Then figure out a way (ask for a friends help)
to sell your skills and your knowledge to those people.
It could be in the form of a "how to" report, a class you
teach or a small piece of time saving equipment.

Look at every situation and find the missing or hidden
value in it. Become a value detective, mix in a little
creativity and marketing and watch what happens.

Today’s Motivation ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION

ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION

Years ago marketing maven Jay Abraham asked a question
that needs asking again.

Answer this question and your success is assured. Ready?
Who stands to gain more from your success than
you do?

There's a world of possibility in that simple question. It
clearly makes the point that your success depends entirely
on your ability to provide others service and value. And it
goes beyond that. Because not only can your clients, family,
customers and friends gain from your success, but so to can
other people with whom you may not even have a relationship.

When you find someone who stands to gain more from your
success than you, then do you think you could enlist the support
of that person? Of course! It's a no-brainer. How hard can it be
to get someone to act in their own interest?

Ask yourself this question and be creative about your answer.
You'll find a whole world of possibilities opening up.

Your Daily Motivation SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE MAKE DECISIONS

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE MAKE DECISIONS

To control the outcome of anything, you control the
action at the point of decision making.

If you let others make decisions for you, you give up
control. When you control the decisions, you control
the actions.

It's your life. You decide what you're going to do with
it. If you don't run your own life, someone else will.
You're in control of your life to the degree that you
make decisions.

Take charge of your life, so there is no longer a need
to ask permission of others. When you ask permission,
you are giving someone veto power over your life.

Take control and start making those decisions. Only
you are responsible for your life.

Today’s Motivation A LIFE OF PURPOSE, POWER and PASSION

A LIFE OF PURPOSE, POWER and PASSION

This series was written from the inspiration of a simple
quote I wrote for myself. It is this:

“The greatest impact one can have on another
is to be driving force behind their living a life of purpose,
power and passion.”

It motivates me every time I repeat it and I trust that it
has blossomed meaning and motivation for you.

The people we remember in our lives are the ones who
have touched us in some way - a teacher, spiritual leader,
parent, friend or public figure. Each left an indelible mark
on our being, our soul.

Life is not about what’s in it for you. Life is about what
motivates and inspire others with you at the root cause.

Want to be remembered? Want to live a motivated life?
Impact another such that their life has purpose, power
and passion. Get someone else on target, fire up and
laser focused. Then step aside to enjoy the show.

Wow, picture a powerful purpose on fire. Can you imagine
that much focused attention? Can you envision leaving the
world a better place because you lasered in on your purpose?

Expressing passion for your purpose gives it existence, being
and life! Your excitement comes from the contribution you
provide and the respect you earn. Knowing your place on the
planet gives rise to action. It is why you do what you do.

Today’s Motivation PASSION ON PURPOSE – PASSION IN ACTION

PASSION ON PURPOSE – PASSION IN ACTION

Passion is not limited by or responsive to Monday Morning Blues
or living for Causal Fridays. In fact, your purpose knows not the
day of the week, the time of the day.

Passion expresses what you avid about, devoted to.

Passion for your purpose can be readily heard in your speech, seen
in your action. It’s in the way you carry yourself and it conveys its
influence in your every move. Your purpose is fine-tuned and
focused by your passion.

The foundation to your passion is enthusiasm, excitement, authen-
ticity, an outward revelation of your purpose driven character.
Your purpose, through your passion for your purpose, oozes con-
fidence, certainty and charisma.

Your passionate being is aligned in thought, feelings and actions.
Your purpose leads the way and leads others through your magnetic
passion. Others come to know you as your purpose through your
passion and show respect.

Gee, I think I’d want to know my purpose simply to feel the passion

Today’s Motivation PASSION ON PURPOSE - EXPRESSION

PASSION ON PURPOSE - EXPRESSION

We have all been in the presence of someone who is
passionate about what they do. You just know what
they are up to. Their purpose is easily recognized but
not written on their forehead.

The outward expression of passion for your purpose
is demonstrated as a craving, an enthusiasm. It is a
coherently expressed drive, an easily articulate desire
to fulfill on your purpose. It is an unmistakably com-
pelling nature that expresses your purpose and anyone
with whom you come into contact senses it.

There is something you were born to do that no one
else can do. Translating that from its mental imaging
and excitement into reality is expressed through your
passion. You know it and so does everyone around you.

Today’s Motivation PURPOSE WITH PASSION

PURPOSE WITH PASSION

“The greatest impact one can have on another is to be a
driving force behind their living a life of purpose, power
and passion.” ~Rick Lelchuk

This is the third week in a series of three on purpose, power
and passion. You’ve identified your purpose, put power to
it and will now crank it up with passion.

Let’s be clear about the word passion. In this context it has
nothing to do with religion or desires of the flesh. What it
does have to do with is a commanding and compelling
emotion or feeling, a strong or extravagant fondness, an
enthusiasm, drive or desire toward and for something…
your purpose.

This week starts a journey to ignite the passion in your
purpose. What does it take to translate your purpose into
the tangible, real world influence?

Sound exciting?

It takes little or nothing to make a difference in another’s
life. If for no other reason than it’s the right thing to do,
find a way today to make a difference in the life of another.

A cheerful smile, a nod and a wink to people you don’t know.

An upbeat bit of praise or a hand squeeze to people you do
know.

A bear hug and “thanks for being you” to close family and

Today’s Motivation POWER ON PURPOSE – FUEL FOR THE SPIRIT

POWER ON PURPOSE – FUEL FOR THE SPIRIT

Each human being is endowed with spirit. It is this spirit
that gives power to ones purpose and propels ones actions.
Spirit is an attitude or principle that inspires, animates and
pervades thought, feeling, or action. It is a divine, inspiring
influence.

Each of us has a resource to fuel the spirit and we gravitate
toward that source each in our own way. The soul, the inner
spark that gives us life and sentience, self-awareness provides
the ability to know our purpose and to keep us on track with it.

Give power to your spirit through meditation or prayer. From
wherever your personal source of spirit emanates finding a
daily quiet moment with your supplier generates the spiritual
power to be on purpose.

Use this invisible influence of the inner being, this near in-
tangible but always reliable inner intelligence as your personal
power authority to fuel your purpose.

Today’s Motivation POWER ON PURPOSE – THOUGHT POWER

POWER ON PURPOSE – THOUGHT POWER

The strongest “muscle” in the body is the brain, yet rarely
do we take it to the mental gym for a work out.

Random thoughts zoom in and out of our conscious mind
like a cosmic mishap on stimulants. Distractions are every-
where, numerous and demanding. It is little wonder that
being on purpose, putting our mental power toward our
purpose is a challenge.

Thoughts are a force unto themselves. They translate into
outward expression, they fashion our character and can
even shift our destiny. Focusing your thoughts on your
purpose brings power to your purpose.

It is a vast subject and well beyond a simple Today’s Motiv-
ation. But, getting excited and motivated about discovering
the foundation of your thought power is the thought to be
planted.

Keep your powerful thoughts on purpose!

Today’s Motivation POWER ON PURPOSE – RESISTANCE

POWER ON PURPOSE – RESISTANCE

Picture the space shuttle the instant before launch; engines
up to 100%, white hot flames and billowing smoke burst from
beneath, yet the shuttle doesn’t move. Purpose without power
is like a shuttle tethered to the ground.

Human beings have tethers too.

In the physical universe power is defined as the rate at which
work is performed or energy is converted per unit of time. The
inclusion of the component of time is significant.

Instantaneous power is attainable when the limiting factor
over a period of time is removed. It is one’s ability to explode
into immediate action. No amount of belief or faith or desire
can overcome resistance until it is recognized, acknowledged
and cleared away. When you translate purpose into work in
the moment you have instantaneous power.

So, our power, putting power to purpose, is always available.
It is only constrained or tethered by the limits and restrictions
we impose on ourselves.

When ready all it takes is a release of the tether clamps to put
your purpose into motion.

Today’s Motivation POWER ON PURPOSE WEEK

POWER ON PURPOSE

Everyone has a purpose for being here. For some it
remains a mystery, for others it rings clear with every
breath. Last week I took you through several exercises
to assist you to discover your purpose. If you missed
that you can run through the exercises at
http://yourdailymo.blogspot.com/ where I post every
motivation.

So, with your newly revealed purpose what do you do
with it, bring it into your everyday life, infuse it power?
The first thing to do is keep it present all the time. Write
out your purpose and post it in your car, on the refrig-
erator, make it your computer wall paper, put it on your
cell phone.

Every time you think of your purpose the next thing out
of your mouth comes from there and you give it power.

Every time you envision your purpose the next think
you see will support your purpose and you will give it
power.

Every time you imagine your purpose you give it power.

So, keep your purpose close to you and you will fuel
your life with your purpose.

Your Daily Motivation YOU CAN GO ANY WHERE WITH A GOAL

YOU CAN GO ANY WHERE WITH A GOAL

A life without purpose is like a ship without a rudder.
Goals are dreams that are written down.

The purpose of a goal is to focus your attention. Your
mind will reach toward achievement only when it has
a goal.

There is no achievement without goals.

Establish a goal worth working for. Your goal will keep
you going in tough times.

Always have something ahead of you. Continuously
visualize your next step. Keep moving after you achieve
your goal and set another. Momentum is maintained by
always having something to look forward to. Constantly
give yourself something to work for.

Do what you can do well, and do well whatever you can
do and you'll achieve any goal that you set for yourself.

You can plant your dream with a goal.

Today’s Motivation CHISEL, BUFF, POLISH, ADMIRE

CHISEL, BUFF, POLISH, ADMIRE

You were born on purpose.

Master sculptor Michelangelo said “Every block of stone
has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to
discover it.” And, “I saw the angel in the marble and carved
until I set him free.”

All Michelangelo had to do was cut away the unnecessary
stone to reveal the masterpiece, and so it is with you.

This week you have examined that which is attractive to
you in search of your purpose. Having gathered all that is
favorable to you and culled until the essence that is you
emerged.

You have chiseled away unnecessary stone, buffed and
polished the stone that remained to expose the purpose
that is you. It was always there, merely hidden from your
view.

Stand back now, admire your work for you have earned
the moment of revelry. Possess it, embrace it, accept it.
Next week we infuse it with power.

You were born on purpose.

Today’s Motivation – DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH

DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH

Yesterday you looking into the infinite universe to find your
Thousand Points of Light, the things in life that inspire you,
get you fired up. You may still be adding things to this list
and that’s perfectly normal as points come to mind.

Review your list. Let your being become engulfed in the
energy it possesses. It is yours and yours alone. Own it. You
should have a silly big grin on your face. Perfect!

Now let’s do another exercise that is designed to have your
purpose bubble to the surface.

Imagine there were no limitations or consequences in your
life. What is meant by there are no consequences? You are
not given the freedom to rob, deceive, murder, wreck havoc
on society. What is meant by there are no limitations?
There is no financial, geographic, health or people related
boundaries. You have unlimited funds, you can go anywhere
you like, your health is perfect and you are with the people
you want to be with.

Can you picture this? Imagine no bills that can’t be handled
with easy and with plenty left over. Imagine being any place,
in any living quarters, with the view of your dreams. Imagine
your body is well and fully energized. Imagine all the right
people surrounding you. Imagine you would never get tired
of this kind of life.

Here it is, this is THE question: What would you be doing
with your time?

STOP, go back to that question and invest some time in it.
Really drill down, pull from your list of A Thousand Points
of Light. What would you be doing everyday and not getting
sick of it. Work this one over, because that IS your purpose.

There is no right or wrong. There is no one purpose higher
or better than another. A person here to touch one live is a
vital and important as one who shapes the course of mankind.
Do not sell your purpose short. Embrace it.

Here’s a quick heads up for you. The thought that rose to the
top will be something simple, without form or detail. It may
seem to be so simple that you have a hard time accepting that
it could be your purpose. Don’t let that fool you. Great and
mighty lives have emerged from an uncomplicated thought.

Today’s Motivation ON PURPOSE WEEK - A THOUSAND POINTS OF LIGHT

ON PURPOSE WEEK - A THOUSAND POINTS OF LIGHT

Yesterday you looked at the parts of life that do not gain
your attention. It should have left you with many, many
areas of life that inspire, ignite, motivate and attract.

Today is a simple exercise. List all of the things that give
you a sense of purpose. Once again there is no right or
wrong, just what works for you.

Get yourself into a comfortable place, quite and away
from distractions. Have a pad of paper and a writing
instrument. I suggest you write it out rather than type
it out on a computer. This is very personal, so you want
to get intimate with your
inner workings.

So here is only a piece of my list.

Things that attract my attention, I love, am inspired by:
Airplanes and anything that flies
Writing and expressing
Business building
Computers
The Internet
Making new friends
Organizing things
Making lists
Felines of any size, shape or color
Things that are mechanical
Deep conversations
Creativity
Making a difference
Making things work together
The power and majesty of Mother Nature
Inspiring others…

You see one could go on and on and on and that’s
great. Let you imagination run without limitations.
Close your eyes and picture yourself in a remote place
on a cloudless and moonless night. Look up into the
universe and the stars. It is so crystal clear you can
see the faint milky star cluster of the Milky Way.

Each star represents a point of attraction for you, one
more arousing than the next. Don’t be afraid to feel
what they symbolize. They are your Thousand Points
of Light.

Today’s Motivation ON PURPOSE WEEK – CLEARING AWAY THE CHAFF

ON PURPOSE WEEK – CLEARING AWAY THE CHAFF

I’m excited. It’s not everyday one gets to work on uncovering who
they really are, what lights them up, what makes them tick. But,
today… Well, let’s just get started, OK?

As always, we do the obvious first. We want to clear away those
things you absolutely know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, do not
crank your engine. These are the things that turn you off, you do
not gravitate to, and you may even find them repulsive. The point
here is to free up the canvas to create later on and to release you
from thinking you should be attracted to something you are not.

For instance, it’s no secret in my world that I’m not fond of sports.
Weird for a guy not to be drawn to a ball of some sort, but, I’m not,
never have been, ain’t gonna happen. So, I can cross off anything
to do with sports. Neither am I the least bit interested in retail sales,
laundry, landscaping or following the herd.

As you note the things that are not of interest, you will compare
them to some of the things you are attracted to. I like clean clothes
and a manicured yard, but I’m not so interested in actually getting
those things accomplished. There’s a clue.

Here’s another clue I noticed. I know I love to plan events. It’s in my
blood, I’m comfortable with it and I’m good at it. So, even though I
don’t care about the game, I would be drawn to planning the half-
time show.

Now, it’s time to clear away the chaff, the excess debris, to get to the
kernel. Begin a list of the things that come to mind that you do like.
Don’t judge it to be right or wrong, just write it down. We’ll be working
with this list for the rest of the week.

Tomorrow – A THOUSAND POINTS OF LIGHT

Today’s Motivation BORN ON PURPOSE

BORN ON PURPOSE

How many of us live a life of purpose, power and passion?
Are you juiced in the morning, grateful for the day and what
it has to bring? If not, why not?

I just became a great uncle this past week. Mom and baby…
and dad… are all doing great. My nephew and his bride had
launched a new life onto the planet and I got to thinking.
It’s a bit early to ask but nonetheless the thought came to
me. What is this baby’s life purpose?

What contribution to the world will come of this birth? Who
will this little person influence over the coming years? Already
the baby has affected the lives of the family and that’s only
the start.

Whether we know it or not, we all have a purpose in life. We
are all placed here to accomplish some task, make a difference
for some people or shape some process. It is vital to your level
of personal satisfaction and sense of accomplishment to know
your purpose.

Let’s make this week Find Your Purpose Week.

Today’s Motivation PERSONAL ASSET INVENTORY

PERSONAL ASSET INVENTORY

Every good business knows exactly what is on the shelf available
for sale. When an item begins to run short purchases are made to
keep inventory level. Once a year an audit is run to evaluate those
assets for the accountants.

An individual is similar in many respects. Each of us possesses
an inventory of personal assets that when recognized empower,
for these assets are of great value. Our awareness of our individual
assets yields our wealth and gives one cause to take action, to
move forward and to inspire others.

Take a personal asset inventory. Start by listing the skills that you
possess. What do you do well? Are you an artist, a negotiator, and
arbitrator? Can you work certain machinery, program a computer,
write well or speak well? Are you a great listener, mother or father,
butcher, baker or candlestick maker? List all the skills you use every
day.

Next, list all the special knowledge you posses. Do you have formal
education? Are you expert in a particular industry? Are you versed
in ways to gather information, to formulate new ideas? Are you a
hobbyist, historian or horticulturalist? What do you know more about
than most?

Lastly, make a list of all your relationships, your personal connections.
Who do you know from coworkers, friends, family, customers, vendor,
professionals, service people, school friends and on and on. Nurture
these acquaintances as part of your inventory assets. Become a
connector of people to create added value.

You personal talents and abilities are yours alone. Use them, because
no one else on the planet has your unique gift.

Today’s Motivation NEVER STOP LEARNING

NEVER STOP LEARNING

Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner
everywhere.  ~Chinese Proverb

Our education only begins as a child. The value of
learning is it’s own testament. One who is slothful
in learning and in educating themselves is stagnant
in growth and personal development.

Your education can never be taken from you. It
goes with you always. You can lose your money,
your possessions, your job, even family, but your
knowledge cannot be lost.

I don't think much of a man who is not wiser today
than he was yesterday.  ~Abraham Lincoln

Today especially as technology races forward and
awareness through many media grows one must
continue to learn and educate oneself. You must
learn not only new facts, but also how to find them
and how to incorporate new learning into your life.

When the student is ready, the master appears.

Today’s Motivation – MOTIVATION IS ACTION GAS

MOTIVATION IS ACTION GAS

To motivate is to stimulate toward action, action being the
key word to the definition and the common denominator
to the synonyms below.

Activate, arouse, begin, cause, compel, empower, encourage,
excite, galvanize, generate, impel, incentive, inspire, induce,
kindle, launch, mobilize, propel, provoke, rouse, stir, spark,
trigger, undertake.

Daily motivation is the fuel to taking daily action.

Today’s Motivation FOCUS YOUR THOUGHTS

FOCUS YOUR THOUGHTS

Your thoughts influence directly what you attract
into your life. Your thoughts are the one thing over
which you have complete control. Focus on scarcity;
worry about the lack of money, your mind will create
that lack in reality.

Conversely, focus on life in abundance, on the gifts
already in your life and your thoughts will help you
create more abundance. Look at your life as being
prosperous and you will generate prosperity. Focus
on happiness and abundance and you will live a life
of happiness and abundance.

Nothing external to you can affect this process.
When things occur you have the choice of how to
think about them, whether to permit them to have
influence over you. You make the choice on what to
focus.

Thoughts are things. Choose the good ones.

Today’s Motivation APPRECIATION MOTIVATION

APPRECIATION MOTIVATION

Everyone wants to feel needed and wanted. They want to
help out and assist, be a part of what you are doing, what
is exciting. Consider that you have the same need and the
same want. Someone asks for your help and you are right
there to pitch in. You are moved to get right into action.

When you satisfy this very human need in people you
receive more than you give in the form of respect, loyalty,
cooperation, admiration and motivation. Giving an opening
for others to contribute starts the appreciation motivation
process.

In one sense, people are Mother Nature’s greatest resource.
They are a source of contrasting perspectives, concealed
ideas, new links and connections, spiritual inspiration and
kick-start motivation. And, it is always give and take.

Show your appreciation; acknowledge someone by asking
for their help. There are plenty of people out there who are
more than willing to motivate you in return for your simple

Today’s Motivation DEVELOP A CONFIDENT BELIEF IN YOURSELF

DEVELOP A CONFIDENT BELIEF IN YOURSELF

In his book, Compassionate Capitalism, Amway co-founder
Rich DeVoss says:

"...what makes you ready to recognize and to reach out for
the golden ring when it suddenly appears is something
mysterious, something powerful inside your heart and head
that says, 'I can do it and I will.'"

That attitude comes from a confident belief in yourself, a mind
that's open to new possibilities, a willingness to do whatever it
takes to make something happen. Without the willingness and
confidence to dive right in, opportunities will pass you by, one
after another.

You must prepare yourself for opportunity. Knowing “I can do
it and I will” comes with self-development and personal prepar-
ation, concentration and determination. There are no free passes
to certain opportunity. There are no free passes to belief in one’s
self either.

Fertilize your mind to receive the opportunity you create.

Today’s Motivation RESOLUTION REFLECTION & REVITALIZATION

RESOLUTION REFLECTION & REVITALIZATION

Today is a good day to look back at the New Years resolutions
you created and reflect on them, determine if you need a course
correction or a short refresher course.

Your resolutions were made in a moment of determination. You
wanted something to happen that is out of the ordinary and you
committed to that out come. So, look back, find where you wrote
those commitments down and review the kinds of things you
wanted to happen this year.

Time to revitalize those resolutions? It doesn’t matter in what area
of your life you resolved something. What matters is that today you
build a fire under them, stoke it good and take a massive step
forward into accomplishing them. Everyday take another swipe at
your New Year’s Resolution. Everyday strike a blow for yourself
and your commitment.

Remember, no one made those resolutions for you. You are the
only one who made the pledge. Don’t sleaze out on yourself.

Stick with it.
