Today’s Motivation TUNING UP YOUR JUDGMENT

TUNING UP YOUR JUDGMENT

Imagine this… you’ve been asleep and you are just beginning to feel yourself coming into consciousness. You stir a bit where you lie and become aware of your toes and legs, your arms and fingers. The sound of your heart beat returns to your ears and you finally move a bit more. It is definitely morning as a light breeze gently moves the curtains and sunlight dances in and out of the room. Your honey beings to wake also, toes touch, and a slight grin comes across both of your faces. A brand new day awaits you both as you yawn and stretch into it. With eyes open now the crispness of being alive takes hold of you and you thank your lucky stars for another day.

Did you imagine it? Did you see the scene? Great, because now your judgment has been tuned.

You can't depend on your judgment when your imagination is out of focus.

Today’s Motivation “JUST THE FACTS MA’AM.”

“JUST THE FACTS MA’AM.”

Ever feel stuck about something? You can’t see another way for
something to be or a different way to interpret an occurrence? So,
something happened and there are the facts about what happened.

For instance, Johnny was riding his bike and fell off. That’s what
happened. You could make up any kind of story about that instance.
Johnny is not very good riding his bicycle. Johnny wasn’t watching
where he was going. Johnny is a klutz. What you make up about a
situation, what you say and think about what happened is funda-
mental to being human. We always want to be right, we always
want to give a reason.

Consider that you have vast power over what interpretation you
bring to a situation. Something happened or something did not
happen and you made up a story about it. What if you didn’t do
that? What if you became like Sgt. Jack Friday from Dragnet and
just looked at “the facts, ma’am, just the facts.” You could avoid
upsets, not pass judgments, never be wrong and it would give you
a great deal of power over your life.

Today's Motivation NOTHING IS EVER WRONG

NOTHING IS EVER WRONG

Human beings are funny. We must label everything.
We label things as good or bad, right or wrong, too
large, too small, not the right color, the right color.

When you begin to notice the chatter in your head
passing judgment on everything you begin to see
from a new context, a new perspective and begin to
gain control. Pretend for just an hour that nothing is
wrong, everything is just the way it is supposed to be.

When you realize that nothing is ever wrong you
give up expectation, upset and conflict, both within
yourself and in relation to the world.

The freedom in Nothing Is Ever Wrong is powerful.

"Nothing is ever wrong in the universe,
there is only what's missing" ~Werner Erhard
