FIVE ATTITUDE ALTERING STRATEGIES
Your attitude is everything; it is the context from
which you live your life. If you are human your
attitude is going to waiver. One day you’re riding
high, the next in a funk. Not every day is spectacular.
But, on those days there is plenty to do to crank
up your attitude. Here are a couple of suggestions:
1. Find a simple pleasure you enjoy and do it. Sip a
glass of wine and watch the sunset. Get away from
the hubbub and reconnect with nature. Give yourself
5 extra minutes to get to work to alter the pace, let
others pass you by. Find a quiet spot and listen to
silence.
2. Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. Find
out how they are doing, express your love and appreci-
ation for them for no reason. Listen more than you talk.
3. Do something new and different, in a different way.
Have lunch at a new place, listen to a different radio
station, read about something you know nothing about.
Talk to a stranger and say something nice.
