Today’s Motivation – The Laws of Nature
The Laws of Nature
Phineas Taylor (P. T.) Barnum (1810 – 1891) was an American showman, businessman, scam artist and entertainer, author, publisher, philanthropist, and for some time a politician. He is remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes and for founding the circus that became the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Barnum is widely but erroneously credited with coining the phrase "There's a sucker born every minute." What he said was more closely to “There is a customer born every minute.”
We focus here on his insightful writings.
“The nearer we keep to the laws of nature, the nearer we are to good health, and yet how many persons there are who pay no attention to natural laws, but absolutely transgress them, even against their own natural inclination.”

Today’s Motivation - The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – Y is for You and Your Food
The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – Y is for You and Your Food
You and Your Food, The Best Medicine is a long standing thought of the great Thomas Edison. He said, ““The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” Only now are we awakened to the wisdom of that statement. Holistic health grows both in popularity and results. Although difficult to quantify under the guise of scientific proof, that antidotal product are unmistakenly a success.
Your food is the most important component to your health and well being. Eat as close as you can to fresh, raw and natural, read your labels carefully, drink plenty of water and increase your daily activity.
“Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.”

The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – X is for eXtra Effort
It takes an extra effort on your part, responsibility too, to keep a healthy and well body. Nothing comes into your life without a driving force behind it. Make your driving force longevity with vigor.
Life's journey is not to
Arrive at the grave safely
In a well preserved body,
But rather to skid in sideways,
Totally used up and worn out, shouting '..man,what a ride!

The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – W is for Water, Walking, Weight and Wellness
We are 70% water. Drink half your weight in ounces of purified water every day! Dehydration causes hunger and over eating, adult acne, diarrhea, high blood pressure and on and on. Drink your water Every Day!
Walking is the easiest and cheapest way to get in your daily activity. A good pair of walking shoes and a mile path will increase your heart rate and keep your lymphatic system activated. It’s low impact and most everyone can find a place to
walk. My father used to belong to a group of mall walkers, every day they’d hit the mall at open and never shop.
Weight is an obvious indicator of wellness and it’s no secret that Western countries and challenged by increasing weight. Balance your proteins, carbohydrates and fats for your individual metabolism. You’ll turn your body into a fat burning machine. Do a whole body nutritional cleanse at least once a month to help release fat cells.
Your wellness is a jewel of many facets. It takes a combination of disciplines to improve one’s wellness and maintain it. Just as ease is the absence of disease, wellness is the absence of illness. Choose wellness.

Today’s Motivation - The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – V is for Vegetables
The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – V is for Vegetables
Eat your veggies. Eat 2 to 4 servings a day. Eat fresh, raw and natural. Eat your veggies. Why?
Mother Nature is a pretty smart gal. She put everything we need into plants that we can eat. The topsoil eco-system breaks down inorganic minerals into organic minerals so a plant can up-take them. We eat them and get the minerals and vitamins needed.
Eat your veggies.

The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – U is for Unlimited Power
You are a human dynamo capable of extraordinary measures. Your heart has been beating since before you entered this world. Your muscles have answered your every command. Your brain operates behind the scenes automatically and at the same time allows you to interact successfully in a physical realm. Your hair grows, your eyes focus, your stomach digests, your liver and kidneys filter, your blood circulates, your skin protects and your body, well it is just a marvel.
Your unlimited power, though, is free. You possess unlimited power within confines of your body provided you care for it as you would any piece of expensive machinery.

The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – T is for Testing
What health and wellness techniques work for you? Is a certain way of eating better for you than another? Does walking work better than swimming, free weights better than Nautilus equipment? Only one way to find out… test, test, test.
Time to become a scientist to determine what works best for you. Your body becomes the laboratory as you observe the results of your experiments. Test exercise, balancing foods, spiritual nurturing and food intake timing for your highest and best results.
Within the parameters of common sense practices, you know each of us is different, each of us functions differently. Find out what your body requires and give yourself the gift of proven and tested wellness.

Today’s Motivation - The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – S is for Silence
The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – S is for Silence
Billboards, newspapers, radio and television, even our cell phones blast messages and advertising at us 24/7. The Internet is in our pocket. The din of modern living is always with us, the sounds of a city, airplanes overhead, horns and whistles. The hectic world relentlessly pounds our 5 senses building unacknowledged stress.
Make time for 15 minutes of peaceful silence in your life everyday. You will be amazed at the affects of silence on reducing stress and reviving your spirit. Your health and well-being depend on proper balance.
“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.”
