Today’s Motivation DEFINITION-GAME Theory

The world occurs for each us from behind our own eyes. There are over 7 billion realities, each as valid as the next. The world is right and correct from our point of view. When you realize that anyone you connect with has the same point of view, but from their perspective, the chaos and craziness is a lot more palatable.

DEFINITION-GAME Theory

The most prudent way of dealing with people is to assume that their way of defining things is:
Good is what I do; bad is what you do. Right is what I do; wrong is what you do. Honest is what I do; dishonest is what you do. Fair is what I do; unfair is what you do. Moral is what I do; immoral is what you do. Ethical is what I do; unethical is what you do.

Every word, act and situation is subjectively defined by each individual in such a way as to comfortably fit in with his own actions and/or circumstances.

Today’s Motivation – CRUX-OF-THE-ISSUE Theory

Our lives are full of distractions, things to take our focus off the true point. Our accomplishments hinge upon our ability to stay on track no matter what. Evaluate what’s important and ignore the rest.

CRUX-OF-THE-ISSUE Theory
(aka THEORY of RELEVANCE)

Resist the temptation to be side-tracked by peripheral issues that cannot yield a payoff, no matter what their outcome. Concentrate on the crux of every issue – the point upon which success or failure rests.

Today’s Motivation – CRUMMY-RELATIONSHIP Theory

Although it is better to give than to receive nested within the Law of Attraction is the Law of Receptivity – the key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.  Take heed of the…

CRUMMY-RELATIONSHIP Theory

A crummy relationship is one in which you consistently give more than your receive, and only masochists and losers allow such a relationship to continue.

Today’s Motivation – CONCENTRATION-PAYOFF Theory

Intently focusing your attention and thought on the problem at hand is the most direct path to its accomplishment. The time spent in preparation is its own reward.

CONCENTRATION-PAYOFF Theory

Success is directly dependent upon the total number of hours one is able to devote to intense, uninterrupted concentration.

Today’s Motivation – CHANGING-CIRCUMSTANCES Theory

We’ve said it before; the one certainty in life is change. Wait 10 minutes and if it isn’t the weather it’s a market condition, an attitude, a trend or the Internet. Count on it.

CHANGING-CIRCUMSTANCES Theory

One absolutely certain thing about life is that, sooner or later, circumstances will change. Never plant your feet in cement.

Today’s Motivation – BOY-GIRL Theory

When in the dance of life , when working with another, when making a deal consider desire and availability don’t always align.

BOY-GIRL Theory

Negotiating is very much like the “dating game”: Every person wants what he can’t have and does not want what he can have. Plan your strategy accordingly.

Today’s Motivation – BLUFF Theory

Above all, be honest in all of your dealings. Making false statements, trying to deceive your way to success never works. Always be able and ready to back up your actions and statements. People will either see right through you or see you for the person of character that you are.

BLUFF Theory

The secret to bluffing is not to bluff. Never lay down an ultimatum unless you’re prepared to follow through on it.

Today’s Motivation – BIRD-IN-THE-HAND Theory

“If only I had…” “It’s too late now.” “Just when I thought…” It is usually after the fact that we realize we had something great and we let it slip away. Everyone can relate. So, be mindful of what is within your grasp, check to see if you would miss it if it were gone.

BIRD-IN-THE-HAND Theory

The bird in the hand looks awfully good after it’s left your hand.

Today’s Motivation – BIG-STICK Theory

There are times in life when discretion is the smarter move. Know when to take a stand and be immovable and when to yield. Posture goes only so far if the one you’re dealing with has real power.

BIG-STICK Theory

When you’re dealing from a position of weakness, it’s all right to hold your ground and refuse to be intimidated, but don’t try to push your weight around – especially when the guy you’re trying to push carries a big stick.

Today’s Motivation – BETTER-DEAL Theory

The grass is always greener just over the next hill is a poor excuse for not making a commitment. You will never be able to focus on the task, the relationship, the assignment, the job at hand wondering if something better is just out of sight. Pledge yourself to that which you are passionate.

BETTER-DEAL Theory

If you’re always worried that there may be a better deal down the road, you’ll never close any deal. If your analysis of a deal is sound, and the indications positive, have the courage of your convictions and move forward with it.

Today’s Motivation - ASSUMPTION Theory

They say that when you ASSUME something you make an ASS out of U and ME. How many times have you heard something like this, “well I thought they would stop” or “I figured they knew the door was unlocked” or “don’t worry, this job is a piece of cake” or… well you get the picture.

It’s your business, your life, get your facts straight and don’t assume anything. You never know, you might be bargaining with Murphy.

ASSUMPTION Theory

The only safe assumption in life is that the person who assures you that everything is all right is all wrong.

Today’s Motivation – ANTI-NEUROTIC Theory

People say and do some of the most unusual things (politely stated). You’ve done them and so have I. When involved with another, be it personal or professional, your prime aim should not be misguided by these unusual occurrences.

ANTI-NEUROTIC Theory

To the degree that you ignore all neurotic remarks and actions of normal people and all  remarks and actions of neurotic people, the path between you and your objectives will be less complicated.

Today’s Motivation – ACTIONS-HAVE-CONSEQUENCES Theory

Action-reaction is nothing new in the world. It is one of the basic laws. If you drive a person hard enough you’ll get some sort of a reaction, a plus or a minus reaction. If you do nothing at all (an action itself) there is an obvious outcome. Even something comes out of nothing.

ACTIONS-HAVE-CONSEQUENCES Theory

“The most elementary law of nature, the principle that best explains how the world works, is: actions have consequences. A consequence will be as profitable or as detrimental as the action behind it.”

Today’s Motivation – Steps

Steps

Great achievements don’t usually happen overnight. Planning is required, broken into manageable steps. The wise know to expect detours and have the ability to work out new paths.

Take a small step toward that project today. Anticipate mistakes, learn from them. You will gain wisdom and avoid that blunder again.

“One of the secrets of life is to make stepping stones out of stumbling blocks.”

Today’s Motivation –The Greatest Job

The Greatest Job

It is near impossible to find anyone who is successful and has amassed a fortune doing what they hate. Success awaits you in something that you absolutely love to do. It is something that your nature requires of you. And, consequently you do it with enthusiasm, joy and a healthy obsession. Then it’s not work.

If you focus on the money then you’ll be working for the money, not for the love. Concentrate on creating your dream occupation, on doing what you adore the most.

Today’s Motivation – Challenged

Challenged

Just as change in life is guaranteed, so too is being tested. There are daily threats and dangers, silent conversations with self, stiff competition, bold confrontations and lots and lots of questions; face them squarely. Since you know it’s unavoidable, they are coming; your job is to make sure they don’t get to you.

"Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional."

Today’s Motivation – Character Defined

Character Defined

You’ve got a great idea and can’t wait to get it going. It will easily go global. You’re so excited! And, a week later the luster is gone and so is your eagerness. Do you pursue your idea, do you press on in the face of the task ahead? That, some say, defines your character.

“Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed.”

Today’s Motivation – Courage

Courage

Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger or pain. One who has courage faces every challenge head on, bravely. A courageous person may feel fear but presses on in spite.

Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow.”

Today’s Motivation – The Lesser of Two Pains

The Lesser of Two Pains

There are certain things in our lives that silently cause us pain. To avoid the hurt we mask them with happy faces and the word “fine”, but these things slowly sap our strength, drain our vitality and thwart our will. Facing them squarely is the only remedy.

"Not until the pain of the same is greater than the pain of change will you embrace change."

Today’s Motivation – Now That Feels Good

Now That Feels Good

You know that task that you’ve been putting off? Yeah, you know, the one once finished would move your business, your relationship, your self-development forward and relieve you from the endless nagging that it’s not done. How much time would it take? What would it feel like to have it accomplished? Mmmm, mmmm, good!

Today’s Motivation – Mixed Up

Mixed Up

Your brain mixes stuff up all the time. It can’t tell the difference between fear and excitement. The raw feelings are the same. The physical reaction is the same. Next time you get fearful about something just tell yourself its really excitement masking itself as fear and plow forward.

Excitement, the quicker picker upper!

Your heart is the center of your spirit world; it is at the core of your existence. At the core of your being is your passion. Today’s Motivation – Go Motivate Yourself

Go Motivate Yourself

Today is on you. You’re responsible for all that occurs in your world. You’re the cause of all that happens or doesn’t happen.

So, just for today take the knowledge you have of human nature; mix it with spirit, inspiration, hope and belief, add in your dreams and desires, release you dependence on others and see if you can get yourself fired up.

Go motivate yourself!

Radio Feel Good!

Radio Feel Good!

Consider that your brain is a high powered broadcast station and your thoughts and feelings transmit across the universe. The Law of Attractions states that like attracts like.

"It's really important that you feel good. Because this feeling good is what goes out as a signal into the universe and starts to attract more of itself to you. So the more you can feel good, the more you will attract the things that help you feel good and that will keep bringing you up higher and higher."

Today’s Motivation – Changing Everything

Changing Everything

“This one step - choosing a goal and sticking to it - changes everything.”

~Scott Reed, African-American author of poetry, essays, and satiric novels, b.1938
