Today’s Motivation – Happiness is so simple

“Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. It's a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don't have. It's so simple, yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend.” ~Unknown

Today’s Motivation - Building Anticipation

Fix a goal in your mind. Set a date for its beginning. Mark it on the calendar. Start to get excited about what happens on that date. Make it a date of significance. Write out a plan. By delaying your start you build anticipation, increase your focus and energy toward your goal.

It’s the same feeling you have when a vacation is planned, a prom date is set, your first day at a new job. Map that feeling onto any goal you want.

Today’s Motivation – Master of My Emotions

If I feel depressed I will sing. If I feel sad I will laugh. If I feel ill I will double my labor. If I feel fear I will plunge ahead. If I feel inferior I will wear new garments. If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice. If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come. If I feel incompetent I will think of past success. If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals. Today I will be the master of my emotions. ~Og Mandino

The stark reality is - things is the way things is. You must start from the way things are.

The sky is blue and no matter how much you wish it to be purple it’s still blue. Deal with it. Your mother is your mother; your body is your body. Deal with it.

No matter how much fantasizing you allow yourself to engage in the world is the way the world is, and it is like that for a reason. Deal with it.

REALITY Theory

Reality isn’t the way you wish things to be, nor the way they appear to be, but the way they actually are. Either you acknowledge reality and use it to your benefit, or it will automatically work against you.
