Today’s Transformation – Listen, do you want to know a secret?

When you are in a conversation with someone are you just waiting your turn to talk? Are you really listening to what is being said or are you merely judging and evaluating? The way we listen to others can determine the amount of valuable and insightful information we gain from another.

Consider this example…
On every commercial flight you have taken there is a safety announcement. Mostly we read a magazine, stare out the window and don’t really listen. That’s one type of listening. However, if that same steward started making an announcement in flight about a pending emergency landing you’d listen differently, intently. Why? Because your life depended upon it.

Listen as if you life depended upon it.

By granting someone your full attention when they speak, not only will you learn a lot but you will show the respect and honor to another of your full attention.

Today’s Motivation 12 RULES TO SUCCESS - #11

STEVE JOBS 12 RULES TO SUCCESS - #11

“Learn from failures. Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes.
It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other
innovations.”

Respect your failures. They are milestones on the journey. Everyone makes
them, everyone is human.

In flying when you have a problem the rule is climb, confess and comply.
It works in your life too. Climb to get the bigger picture as the view from
above gives greater information. Confess is to tell that you made a mistake,
you have a failure, something is amiss. It gives others a sense of your being
a straight shooter. And, comply with the laws of nature to move forward
and rectify the failure.

You are now cleared for takeoff!

Your Daily Motivation LIVE AND ACT IN A SPIRIT OF LOVE

LIVE AND ACT IN A SPIRIT OF LOVE

The place to begin to improve the world is in
your own heart, head and hands. To get along
with others, love them without forcing your
love upon them.

Imposing your beliefs on people will not bring
you peace. Have concern for others, respect
their rights and freedoms, and let them be
themselves.

Do this and you will enjoy peace. Having con-
sideration for others is the basis of a good life.
Most people are not against you, they are
merely for themselves.

Let differing ideas clash, but not those of the
heart. Peace comes to you when you live and
act in a spirit of love.

Today’s Motivation - Self-confidence, a Dynamic Law of Success

Self-confidence is the realistic belief in one's own judgment, ability and power.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, said “the first law of success is self-trust”.
Trust is bolstered by faith.

One who desires lasting achievement and major success
is obligated to guard against the negative sway of friends,
acquaintances and family.
Do not let other people’s opinions easily influence you.

Developing self-confidence is a journey to believing you are
a human being of values that is worthy of respect and love.
