Success requires one to be both a Loyal disciple and to demonstrate Loyalty with those he or she leads. Leaders who are a success are trustworthy, consistent and dedicated.

No matter how large or how small success leaves footprints for others to follow. It is the Legacy of one who is accomplished.

Knowledge, expertise and Know-how in an area of specialization wins the day. No one ever followed someone based upon pure luck. A leader has that keen sense of purpose and direction.

ABC’s of Success - J is for Justice, Journey, Judgment, Job, Joy

All have a Job to do in this earthly existence and it is an important piece of the puzzle.

The Job delivers Joy to the individual and those who surround him or her.

All who are an expert in a field have a good sense of Judgment, a keen sense of Justice and fair play. Without being Just and equitable there can be no balance, and balance is essential.  

Each and every person who has become a success has a story to tell about the Journey they have been on. None started out a full blow success. That success had to be earned and that has taken them on a Journey to earn it.

ABC’s of Success - I is for Integrity, Identity, Inspiring, Ideas, Insight, Influence

The letter “I” is a successful letter with so many great associated words.

A successful person has a full sense of his or her own Identity, they know who they are and what they are up to. They share Ideas, Insights and Inspiration routinely. Ideas are the fuel of commerce, Insights the spiritual spark and Inspiration, acting like oxygen, keeps a successful one on fire.

Successful people are, as John Maxwell puts it, great Influencers. They influence peoples’ thinking and the certain direction of their lives.

But, the one “I” word that necessarily is missing in success is the selfless “I” in “me, myself and I.”

ABC’s of Success - H is for Happiness, Helpful, Honesty, High Expectations, Humble

A successful person is Helpful, taking every opportunity to assist those who ask

and some that don’t ask.One who is Humble seeks not glory for him or herself but is able to share their dreams with Honesty and authenticity.

If you don’t have any expectations you can’t expect high ones. Only with High Expectations can one expect to achieve the greatest benefit to all and the highest success.

Happiness is success all by itself for without Happiness there can be no joy in life or success.

Setting Goals is essential work if one ever expects to achieve them. Without a clear and focused Goal the path is random, uncharted. Establishing goals is a sound means to Giving to others. Reach your Goal, regardless of its size or nature, and you are a success.

Living as a Generous and Giving person, you of necessity put others ahead of you. It is an obvious key to success.

And, finally, attaining true and lasting success can only occur with heart felt Gratitude for the treasures of life. Be Grateful everyday.

Today starts a new ABC series. This series is the ABC’s of Success. Although success has many definitions this series looks at the attributes of one who might claim to be a success.

A is for Adaptable, Attitude, Abundance, Action, Achievement, Accountability

One who is successful is always Adaptable and in Action. They have Abundance in all areas of their lives and are comfortable with their Achievement. He or she maintains an upbeat and positive Attitude in the face of all that life throws their way. They are Accountable, one who can be counted on to follow through on what they say they will do.
