We are 70% water. Drink half your weight in ounces of purified water every day! Dehydration causes hunger and over eating, adult acne, diarrhea, high blood pressure and on and on. Drink your water Every Day!
Walking is the easiest and cheapest way to get in your daily activity. A good pair of walking shoes and a mile path will increase your heart rate and keep your lymphatic system activated. It’s low impact and most everyone can find a place to
walk. My father used to belong to a group of mall walkers, every day they’d hit the mall at open and never shop.
Weight is an obvious indicator of wellness and it’s no secret that Western countries and challenged by increasing weight. Balance your proteins, carbohydrates and fats for your individual metabolism. The ABC’s of Health & Wellness – R is for Relaxation
Anybody out there a wee bit stressed these days? You can certainly feel stressed mentally, but whether you can feel it or not our bodies hold tension, stress and anxiety within.
Relaxation is the release of tension and a return to equilibrium. Relaxation is a feeling of calm in body and mind. It is important to note that it is a learned technique which can be used in stressful situations and everyday life to reduce tension and increase control.
Relaxation will help you to:
· think better and enjoy improved concentration.
· feel calmer, happier and more energetic.
· experience less discomfort.
· improve your body’s efficiency by decreasing heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate and muscle tension.
· enjoy more restful sleep.
· increase your feeling of control of your environment.

Food is fuel and it affects our energy levels. Food energy is the amount of energy obtained from food that is available through cellular respiration. When the food providing fuel reacts with oxygen in the cells of living things energy is released.
Foods don’t actually contain the energy. Each gram of food can be associated with a particular amount of energy that is released in the body.
Interesting fact: about twenty percent of our energy is used for brain metabolism
Environmental toxins adversely affect energy levels.

Diet, as defined as “the food and drink that a person or animal regularly consumes” is the single most important factor related to ones health and wellness. Today, more than ever, you are what you eat.
Eating automatically, without thought, is a certain path to medical disaster. Be mindful of what you put into your body. Be mindful that a lot of little diet exceptions add up more quickly today than they did in the past. Your healthy diet is the key to a healthy future.

Then, check out interval, burst training or HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training is for you. Don’t let it scare you. It’s short (10 to 15 minutes) and sweet and will keep you from becoming a gym rat.
